Guar gum is a fantastic food lover and baker’s resource. Use it to thicken countless food and beverage recipes, as well as to bind, ‘suspend’ or stabilise many different concoctions. Guar gum has very little flavour, and a very dynamic and pliable texture, making it perfect for an amazing array of baking uses.
It is a Polysaccharide produced from the endosperm contained in the seeds (beans) of the Guar plant (Endosperm is the white fleshy part of the guar bean which is used as nutrition when the plant begins to grow). The beans are de-husked and then the endosperm extracted; its then ground to a fine powder to produce guar gum.

Serving and Usage suggestions
Per cup of gluten-free flour used: Add 1 teaspoon guar gum in bread recipes, 1/2 teaspoon in cake or muffin recipes and 1/2 teaspoon (or less) in biscuit recipes.
