Garam Masala
Garam masala loosely translates to “warming spices” meant to warm the body and increase metabolism. It consists of the roasted whole spices of cinnamon, mace, peppercorns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and cardamom pods. These roasted whole spices are then ground to a powder and used in a variety of dishes and is widely used in Indian cuisine from curries and lentils dishes to soups. |
