Cabbage Pak Choi
Description
This annual vegetable with Chinese origins has spread throughout Asia and beyond. Pak Choy is grown for its thick, crisp and tender white stalks, which are used in Asian cooking. It is also delicious raw.
The slight mustard flavour of Pak Choy makes it a delightful addition to stir-fries, soups, noodle and meat dishes, or in salads if the young leaves are used. In China, the coarser leaves are often pickled.
Each plant bears 10-14 erect stalks which are 20-25cm long. Pak Choy grows best in cool weather in full sun. Spread: 30cm, Height: 45-50cm. 45-55 days.
